Book Quote (12/28/12)

A short quote from chapter 7 of Stephen Altrogge’s Create: Stop Making Excuses and Start Making Stuff:

Doing creative work for the Lord requires being steadfast and immovable, always pushing forward, always pressing through difficulty. It requires that we continue to labor even when the results weren’t quite what we were hoping for. (Kindle location 512/724)

For any of you out there reading this, how does this advice sit with you? How do you “press through difficulty?” Do you have any tips you’d like to share?

I don’t know how regular this feature will be, but I thought I’d share some quotes from the books I’m reading. I present these with the understanding that I do not necessarily endorse all of an author’s positions in this particular book or in his/her writing in general. These are quotes which I found interesting, provocative, well-written, or worthy of sharing in some other way.
